Trump’s new team is taking shape. Here’s what we know so far
President-elect Donald Trump has offered Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik the role of US ambassador to the United Nations, two sources familiar told CNN on Sunday.
On Sunday night, Trump announced that Tom Homan, who served as the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in his last administration, will be in charge of the nation’s borders.
Stefanik and Homan’s appointments come after Trump announced last week that his campaign manager, Susie Wiles, would be named his White House chief of staff.

Trump is also expected to announce that Stephen Miller, his top immigration adviser, will serve as White House deputy chief of staff for policy, two sources familiar with the plans told CNN.
Former SEC Chairman Jay Clayton is among the attorney general candidates, sources tell CNN. Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt is another of the names at the top of Trump’s list for the position, according to four sources. Trump views his attorney general as the most important role in his administration.
GOP Sen. Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, who has called for immediately cutting aid to Ukraine, is under consideration for several posts.
Tycoon Elon Musk is still not formally expected to take a position in Trump’s administration, but has exerted a great deal of influence, according to multiple sources.
Trump said Saturday his former GOP presidential rival Nikki Haley and his former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo would not have roles in his incoming administration.
